Family:Whitney, Charles Hammond (1838-1878)

Charles Hammond⁸ Whitney (Micah⁷, James⁶, Ezra⁵, James⁴, John³, Jonathan², John¹), son of Micah⁷ and Diantha (Walker) Whitney, was born 2 Apr 1838, Thompson, CT, and died 17 Jun 1878, Dudley, MA, aged 40 years 2 months 15 days, of bilious colic.^[1]

He married, 2 Dec 1859 (or 7 Dec 1858), Dudley Hill, MA, Lydia A. Perry, both of Thompson, CT,^[2] daughter of Josiah and Lucy (Chaffee) Perry. She was born 27 Aug 1838, Thompson, CT, and died 26 Dec 1894, Worcester, MA, aged 56 years 4 months, of consumption.^[3]

He was an innkeeper. He resided Webster, MA.

Lula Jane Whitney, b. 14 Jun 1876, Dudley, MA;[6] d. 27 Oct 1902, Worcester, MA, aged 26 years 4 months 13 days, of puerperal septicaemia and peritonitis;[7] m. 21 Oct 1896, Worcester, MA, Fred Elbridge Wheelock, b. ca. 1874, Worcester, son of Elbridge G. and Caroline E. (Hardy) Wheelock;[8] resided 101 Summer St., Worcester, MA.
