Ephraim⁷ Whitney (Daniel⁶, Joel⁵, Abel⁴, Nathaniel³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Daniel⁶ and Nancy (-----) Whitney, was born 14 Jun 1813, St. Stephen, NB, and died 3 May 1891, Ventura, CA, aged 80 years. He was buried in Cemetery Park, Ventura, CA.^[1]

Intentions of marriage were published 22 Aug 1846, Calais, ME, for him and his first wife Abigail Todd Dutch,^[2] daughter of John Califf and Margaret (Todd) Dutch. She was born 21 Mar 1825, Eastport, ME, and died between 1870 and 1878.

He married secondly, 12 Oct 1878, Oshkosh, WI, Sally Gallop, daughter of Chester and Betsey (-----) Gallop.
