Moses Merrill⁹ Whitney (Orrell⁸, George Huyler⁷, Zadok⁶, Hezekiah⁵, Hezekiah⁴, Joseph³, John², Henry¹), son of Orrell⁸ and Mary Philura (Merrill) Whitney, was born 6 Oct 1849, Wolcott, VT, and died after 1880.

He married, 2 Nov 1870, Hardwick, VT, Elizabeth Coffin Damon, daughter of John Horace and Nancy Kimball (Coffin) Damon.^[1] She was born 4 Nov 1852, Cabot, VT, and died after 1880.

He was a farmer. After his father entered the army he dwelt for one year at Marshfield, VT; and then went to Cabot, VT, where they were living in 1873, without children.
