Nelson Bigelow8 Whitney (Ward7, Abel6, Timothy5, Jonas4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of Ward7 and Katherine (Cook) Whitney, was born about 17 Feb 1840, Ludlow, VT, and died 25 Jul 1905, Ludlow, VT, aged 65 years 5 months 8 days, of heart failure.[1]

He "of Guilford" married, 3 Jul 1866, Guilford, VT, Jane A. Franklin,[2] daughter of Jedediah H. and Sarah Prouty (Bartlett) Franklin. She was born 27 Jul 1846, Guilford, VT, and died 27 Oct 1933, Guilford, VT, aged 87 years 3 months 0 days, of organic disease of heart.[3] She married secondly, 28 Nov 1907, Guilford, VT, George Wiltshire.[4]
