Porter7 Whitney (Ephraim6, Joel5, Abel4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Ephraim6 and Sarah (Noyes) Whitney, was born 3 May 1818, Jonesboro, ME, and died 25 Jan 1891, Jonesboro, ME

Marriage intentions were published 7 May 1852, Columbia, ME, for him and Elizabeth I. Nash,[1] daughter of Jesse Lee and Susan Shaw (Nash) Nash. She was born 1827, and died 22 Jun 1874, Jonesboro, ME.

Both Porter and Elizabeth are buried in the Porter Whitney (Village) Cemetery in Jonesboro.
