William Allen8 Whitney (Samuel7, Lyman6, Samuel5, Samuel4, Richard3, John2, Henry1), son of Samuel7 and Susan (Shelton) Whitney, was born 25 Dec 1842, OH, and died 4 Oct 1894, Riverside Co., CA.[1]
He married firstly, 11 Aug 1863, Kingsville, OH, Permelia [Minnie] D. Rockwell,[2] daughter of Calvin and Rebecca (Blystone) Rockwell. She was born 29 Apr 1840, Cambridge, PA, and died 9 Sep 1872, Kingsville, OH.[3] They had no known children.
He married secondly, 8 Mar 1874, Miller Co., MO, Emma Nancy Austin,[4] daughter of Daniel and Betsey (Whitten) Austin. She was born 24 Feb 1850, Craftsbury, VT. The 1900 census indicates she had 1 child who was no longer living. She married secondly, circa 1902, Perris, CA, George Henry Sawyer, and died 30 Oct 1919, Riverside, CA.[5]
