William F. Whitney (Samuel Whitney, (prob.) Benjamin5, Benjamin4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Samuel and Louisa (Jordan) Whitney, was born about 1855, (prob. Durham) ME, and died after 1930, prob. Mendon, MA.
He married firstly, 4 Mar 1879, ME, Isabella A. Sherman,{{ref|1} daughter of James Sherman. She was born 25 Dec 1859, Houlton, ME, and died 16 Dec 1919, Milford, MA, aged 59 years 11 months 21 days, of cholangitis.[1] She was buried in Vernon Grove Cemetery, Milford, MA.[2]
He married secondly, between 1920 and 1930, Lauretta (Kelly) Fletcher, daughter of William and Ellen (Masterson) Kelly. She was born about 1858, MA, and died 1933, Mendon, MA.[3] She had married firstly, 9 Nov 1881, Milford, MA, Quincy Addison Fletcher.[4]
They moved to Milford about 1897. They were living at 23 Thayer Street in 1919.
