Timothy7 Whitney (Simon6, Timothy5, Jonas4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of Simon6 and Lucy (Hammond) Whitney, was born 2 Apr 1789, Petersham, MA,[1] and died 20 Jun 1871.

He married firstly, 18 Oct 1817, Petersham, MA, Lucy Bryant.[2] She was born 1 Jul 1799, and died 23 Sep 1843.

Marriage intentions were published 5 Jan 1848, Petersham, MA, for him and "Mrs." Mary Hastings "of Barre".[3] He married secondly, 25 Jan 1848, Barre, MA, Mary Hastings.[4]

He resided Essex, VT, and Petersham, MA.

iii. Eliza B. Whitney, b. ca. 1825, NY; m. (int. 15 Sep 1845, Templeton, MA[7]) 6 Oct 1845, Petersham, MA, Thomas B. Greenwood.[8]
iv. Helen L. Whitney, b. 21 Mar 1832, Oneida, NY; m. 19 Jun 1851, Dr. James C. How, b. 12 Mar 1829; d. 6 Oct 1888; resided Haverhill, MA.
