John Whitney (Theophilus), son of Theophilus and Rebecca (-----) Whitney, born circa 1774, Llantilio Pertholey, Monmouthshire, Wales, baptized 5 Nov 1775, Llantilio Pertholey, Monmouthshire, Wales, died sometime after 1851.
He married Elizabeth -----. She was born circa 1776 (not in Monmouthshire, Wales).
He resided with his wife Elizabeth in 1841 in Llanover Upper where he was listed as a collier.
He resided with his son Thomas in 1851 in Trevethin, Monmouthshire, Wales in 1851 where he was listed as a laborer and a widower.
