Abijah5 Whitney (Daniel4, Henry3, John2, Henry1), son of Daniel4 and Thankful (Burt) Whitney, was born 10 or 11 Jul 1754, Warwick, NY, and died 24 May 1802, Warwick, NY.
He married 7 Aug 1777, Warwick, NY, Elizabeth Ellsworth, daughter of William and Sarah (Brower) Ellsworth. She was born 4 Jul 1761, Brooklyn, NY, and died 27 Feb 1829, New York, NY.
Phoenix says the following:

Abijah Whitney served in the Revolutionary War as a Private in Col. John Hathorn's 4th Regiment of Orange County Militia.[1]
