Reuben Parmenter7 Whitney (Samuel6, Aaron5, Elnathan4, Eleazar3, Thomas2, John1), son of Samuel6 and Martha (Parmenter) Whitney, was born 25 Apr 1806, Jamaica, VT, died 31 Oct 1871, Southbridge, MA.
He married firstly, 2 Jun 1831, Ware, MA, Rachel Ann Pierce. She was born Feb 1801, and died 7 Nov 1847.
He married secondly, 7 Sep 1848, Leicester, MA, Hannah Williams Wilson.[1]
He married thirdly, Mary Wallace.
He was born in Jamaica, VT, but early moved to Massachusetts. Soon after his marriage he moved to Sturbridge, MA, where he died. On account of continued sickness in his family he was not able to accumulate much, but he was noted for his sterling and unswerving honesty, and a character highly prized by his descendants. He resided Southbridge, MA.
