George L.8 Whitney (Amos Kimball7, Charles6, Aaron5, Moses4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of Amos Kimball7 and Anna (Leonard) Whitney, was born about 2 Dec 1821, Warwick, MA, and died 9 Apr 1881, Warwick, MA, aged 59 years 4 months 7 days, of amputation of leg by falling of tree.[1]

He married, 5 Apr 1860, Warwick, MA, also recorded Brattleboro, VT, Martha A. (Elmore)(Tower) Nevens, of Hinsdale, NH,[2] daughter of Elijah and Patty (Orvis) Elmore. She was born about Aug 1825, Hinsdale, NH, and died 16 Jun 1897, Richmond, NH, aged 71 years 10 months, of chronic gastritis,[3] when her husband is described as "married" at death, but not found in 1900 census.
