Salmon7 Whitney (Moses6, Ephraim5, Moses4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of Moses6 and Sarah (Geary) Whitney, was born about 1785, New Salem, MA, and died 28 Feb 1859, Madrid, ME, aged 73 years.

He married, int. 10 Aug 1807, Harrison, ME, Abigail Bray,[1] both of Harrison, daughter of Nicholas and Polly (Bray) Bray. She was born 19 Aug 1785, Minot, ME, and died after 1860, and apparently before 1870.

Children of Salmon7 and Abigail (Bray) Whitney, probably incomplete:

i. Lorenzo8 Whitney, b. 1808, ME; m. Elizabeth Sprague.
ii. Lorana Whitney, b. ca. 1811, Letter E, ME; m.(1) Enith Huntoon; m.(2) Amos Kenney.
iii. Louise Whitney, b. ca. 1813, Letter E, ME; d. 1858, aged 45 years; "of Gorham" m. 9 Dec 1838, Camden, ME, Ephraim Rand "of Camden".[2] He had the first tin shop and hardware store in Phillips, ME.
iv. Lavinia Whitney, b. ca. Aug 1814, Letter E, ME; d. 30 Nov 1903, aged 89 years 3 months, of a fall; m. Sidney Harden, a cabinet-maker and painter; resided Phillips, ME. Four children.
