Family:Whitney, Hiram (1812-1853)

Hiram⁸ Whitney (John Rodman⁷, William⁶, Thomas⁵, William⁴, William³, Joshua², John¹), son of John Rodman⁷ and Catherine (Schoonover) Whitney, was born 24 May 1812, NY, and died 4 Jun 1853, Camden, OH, by the kick of a horse.

He married firstly, before 1830, Charlotte Appleby. She was born 1817, and died 25 Jan 1839, Camden, OH.

He married secondly, 20 Jun 1839, Mary Louisa Juckett. She was born about 1820, NY, and died after 1860. Apparently she m.(2) Milo H. Thomas.

Mr. Whitney lived in Camden, where he had come with his brothers William W.⁸ and Calvin⁸, in 1834, then moved to Wellington, and lastly to Henrietta Hill (all in Lorain county, OH). He was killed by the kick of a horse 4 Jun 1853.
