Henry Martyn⁸ Whitney (Paul⁷, Paul⁶, Aaron⁵, Moses⁴, Moses³, Richard², John¹), son of Paul⁷ and Lucy Cushing (Stone) Whitney, was born 25 Jun 1826, Boston, MA, and died 1 Jan 1890, Philadelphia, PA.

He married, 28 Oct 1850, Emma Jane Merrill of Canandaigua, NY. She was born 9 Jul 1831.

He resided San Francisco, CA and Philadelphia, PA.
