Reuben Fairbanks8 Whitney (Elias7, Jacob6, Richard5, Richard4, Richard3, Richard2, John1), son of Elias7 and Fannie (Demary) Whitney, was born 3 Feb 1823, Winchendon, MA,[1] and died 28 Jan 1864, Marlow, NH.

Marriage intentions were published 26 Oct 1845, Winchendon, MA, for him and Jane L. Tubbs.[2] He married, 10 Nov 1845, Gilsum, NH, Jane L. Tubbs,[3] daughter of William and Eunice (Carpenter) Tubbs, of Northfield, VT. She was born 13 Mar 1825, Northfield, VT, and died 2 Jul 1898, Newton, MA, aged 73 years 3 months, of valvular heart disease.[4]

He resided Upton, MA, Stoddard and Marlow, NH.

vi. Mary Frances Whitney, or "Frances E.", b. 6 Aug 1854, Upton, MA;[9] "Frances M." m. 2 Jul 1874, Keene, NH, George W. Fisher;[10] resided 147 School St., Keene, NH.

ix. Edward Arthur Whitney, b. 31 Aug 1860, Marlow, NH;[12] m. 23 Nov 1881, Georganna Nichols, b. 17 Nov 1858, s. p.; resided South Attleborough, MA. He is the proprietor of the Sunny Point greenhouses and is an extensive dealer in cut flowers.
