He married, 10 Nov 1877, Warren Co., PA, Emma A. Baker. She was born 14 Nov 1854, Lottsville, PA, and "Dr." died 25 May 1919, Muncie, IN. She is buried in Lottsville Cemetery, Lottsville, PA.[2]
"Nathan [Whitney] was born in Massachusetts in 1803; they were born in Youngsville, and had a family of seven children, four of whom are now living—-Ira A., Lucy, M. D., and Dr. William D."[3]
