Family:Whitney, Hiram (1812-1853)
Hiram8 Whitney (John Rodman7, William6, Thomas5, William4, William3, Joshua2, John1), son of John Rodman7 and Catherine (Schoonover) Whitney, was born 24 May 1812, NY, and died 4 Jun 1853, Camden, OH, by the kick of a horse, aged 41 years 11 days. He was buried in Camden Cemetery, Kipton, OH.[1]
He married firstly, before 1830, Charlotte Appleby. She was born about 1812, and died 25 Jan 1839, Camden, OH. She was buried in Camden Cemetery, Kipton, OH, aged 27 years.[2]
He married secondly, 20 Jun 1839, Mary Louisa Juckett, daughter of Ebenezer and Lucena (Jones) Juckett. She was born 20 Jan 1821, Clarkson, NY, and died 3 Jan 1906, Norwalk, OH. She married secondly, 20 Sep 1854, Camden, OH, Milo Hill Thomas.
Mr. Whitney lived in Camden, where he had come with his brothers William W.8 and Calvin8, in 1834, then moved to Wellington, and lastly to Henrietta Hill (all in Lorain county, OH). He was killed by the kick of a horse 4 Jun 1853.
